About Activities

Activities can be proposed and organised by any member and advice or assistance is always available from the Activities Coordinator or other Omnia Committee members. Each activity has an AO (Activity Organiser) who has suggested the activity by filling out the details online. The event will be visible to members in the Activities Calendar once the Club’s Activities Coordinator has checked the details and 'publishes' it.

Creating an activity is quite simple.

Once you've logged on, simply go to Create an activity and fill out all the required details. You will be registered as the contact person (Activities Organiser AO) for the event and any RSVPs will come to you once the activitiy is published on the website by the Activities Coordinator.

The events are also listed in a monthly newsletter which is emailed to all members.  A weekly email gives a reminder of what's on along with any additional activities members have created during the month.

Regular weekly activities include TGIF (Thank God its Friday), a get together on Friday evenings for drinks or a meal,  a regular Monday evening walk, Trivia and much more depending on ideas from members.
. Weekend trips are offered a number of times during the year - often coinciding with long weekends, and include ski, beach and camping trips in the Canberra region or further afield.

The Club‘s members get together monthly to see what activities are listed for the following month and suggest additional activities or canvas Expressions of Interest.

As a member, you choose what activities you go to - but with the wide range on offer, there's sure to b something to interest you each week.
